Free TNFD LEAP priority screen

Where does nature risk sit in your business?

Tell us your sector, your sites and what you buy. You get back a one-page red, amber, green screen of your six biggest nature dependencies and impacts, across your own operations and your supply chain.

About ten minutes. Reviewed by a person, not just a model. No sales call needed to get your results.

Why now

Nature questions are arriving before most companies have an answer

The ISSB is consulting on nature-related disclosure built on the TNFD framework, and IFRS S1 already asks for material nature-related risks. Lenders and corporate customers have started asking too. The first hurdle is nearly always internal. Before anyone funds a nature assessment, someone has to show where the exposure is. This screen gives you that first page.

What you get

One page you can take to your finance director

  • A red, amber or green rating on six dependencies and impacts: water supply, pollination, flood protection, soil quality, land-use change and water pollution
  • Separate ratings for your own sites and your upstream supply chain
  • Site-by-site flags for water stress, nearby protected sites and flood risk
  • A plain-English read of what the ratings mean for you
  • An honest note on what a screen like this can't tell you

How it works

How it works

  1. 01

Tell us the basics. Ten short questions online, or download the spreadsheet if you have a lot of sites.

  2. 02

We screen it. Your sector against the ENCORE dataset, your sites against public water stress, protected site and flood data, and your commodities against sourcing-country risk. Ben reviews every result before it goes out.

  3. 03

You get your PDF. By email, within two working days.

Who it’s for

Built for UK companies with sites and supply chains

Heads of sustainability, ESG and risk at manufacturers, food and drink businesses, retailers, property owners and logistics firms. Most are already reporting on climate and know nature is next, but haven’t been able to get it funded yet.

What this screen is, and what it isn’t

It is a prioritisation tool. It shows where to look first. It isn’t a TNFD disclosure, a materiality assessment or a site survey. Upstream ratings use sector and country averages, not your named suppliers. Getting from here to a defensible position is the paid next step, and it’s quoted as a fixed fee.

I’m Ben Hart. I’ve spent 18 years across energy, climate and nature, as a Chartered Energy Manager and ESOS Lead Assessor, and as Head of Operations at a nature restoration company, where I led a combined TCFD and TNFD report for the corporate buyers of nature outcomes. I built this screen because the companies I talk to keep getting stuck at the same first step.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free?
Yes. You get the PDF by email. If you tick the box, we'll also send an occasional update on nature and energy regulation, no more than monthly. Otherwise we'll get in touch once, to ask if the screen was useful.
What happens to my data?
We use it only to produce your screen. Uploaded spreadsheets and site postcodes are deleted 90 days after your screen is sent. We don’t share or sell your details. See the privacy notice.
How accurate is it?
As accurate as public data and sector averages allow, which is good enough to show where to look and not good enough to disclose on. The PDF says exactly how each rating was reached.
Do we need to be reporting under TNFD?
No. Most companies that use the screen aren't, yet.
What does the next step cost?
A LEAP Locate and Evaluate engagement is quoted as a fixed fee after a short scoping call, typically from £8,000 + VAT.
We're in scope for ESOS Phase 4. Does that help?
Yes. The site register built for your ESOS audit is the starting point for the nature work, so you won't be asked for the same data twice.
